The numbers are not intended as a precise measure of merit, worth, impact, seniority, and each “point” is decidedly incomparable to any other “point”. Academic contribution comes in many forms, many of which are hard or impossible to capture in a simple score.

So feel free to explore, but do not let it get you into a competition.
